Christmas is less than two weeks away - I can hardly believe it. However, there is still tme for you to order on-line if you do it soon. Many of the stores will have final order dates listed so you will know if you will get your item(s) in time.

We have Christmas with our three sons and their families next weekend, so time is really getting close. We have six grandchildren and they make the holidays so much fun.

I have done a lot of my shopping over the internet this year and I have to say that everything I ordered has come. I know that there are still lots of people who do not want to shop on-line because of backorders or privacy issues. I believe that all prominent merchants, and I'm willing to bet that most of the others also, have privacy procedures in place - you can check each site's privacy policy while you are shopping. In fact, I wouldn't shop at a site - or advertise them on MARYANNS if they were not prominent well-respected, and secure merchants.

Something I really look for - and appreciate - is FREE SHIPPING. This saves a bundle - so you not only order from home and have it delivered to your door, but you do not have to pay shipping, fill the car up with gas, or go out in the cold. It's GREAT!

As you place your order, most sites - in fact, every site that I shopped at - informed me at the time whether it was in-stock or if it would be backordered. If it was backordered, I simply did not order it and found something else, or ordered it from another merchant who had it in stock.
